Anticipato from single "TRAINS IN NOVEMBER 1978" (available on Itunes) "NAKED MASKS, Claudio Valente's new album, due out in March 2010, marks a decisive return to the atmosphere of its origins and new wave art - rock late 70's and early 80's.
A record that shows a mature and careful writing , with its autumn colors and is made of intimate ballads with acoustic guitar, piano and electronic glitch that sudden bursts of rock.
The album is labeled "original soundtrack" as the 10 songs that make you have like 10 scenes, or episodes of the screenplay for a fictional movie where they go in scene as many characters as "masks" that is "naked in public" telling their story or the fundamental existential moment, spread a sort of "roman" individual training and sentimental ("Not Me", "For always at least a little '), but also a political and generational adolescence through the flashbacks experienced in years "hard" of the dispute ("Trains of November 1978), or mixing public and private (" Naked Masks ") when young people are having to bring together picked the suggestions of "Fragments of an amorous" with Barthes' anarchism punk of the Sex Pistols, the phenomenology of the Mogol - Battisti (But also in 70 Italian Baglioni ...) with the melancholy and existential wrenching the hearts of serious new wave of Joy Division. Claudio Valente - a brief biography
born in Mestre (Ve), singer, songwriter, gender new wave, indie-rock auteur.

Con l'aiuto di Chivilò, Claudio Valente inizia un nuovo percorso da solista, con la voglia di esser se stesso fino in fondo e di scrivere, cantare e suonare canzoni che gli assomiglino il più possibile.  In queste nuove composizioni di Claudio la new-wave degli anni '80, il glam e l'indie rock  d'oltremanica, la  lezione della canzone d'autore italiana, ma anche la sua passione viscerale per la soul music, mingle in what, in light of his musical path, Claudio likes to call "adult pop", a pop for adults, both in the choice of musical arrangement that the themes of the songs, too hot, but often treated with typical Ironically irreverent and iconoclastic rock.
